Fitness Improving Together through Knowledge, Instruction, Demonstrations, and Support

FITKIDS stands for Fitness Improving Together through Knowledge, Instructions, Demonstrations, and Support. Many families have heard that 60 minutes of physical activity each day is important, but have no idea where to start, don’t think they have the time, or think they lack the appropriate resources. My goal is to provide guidance to family members of ALL ages- with workout ideas, healthy recipes, instructional videos, and my own blog posts.
Over the past 12 years, I have worked in physical education with all ages from 4 to 18, as well as with adult personal training clients. I am a Certified Functional Strength Coach, a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and completed my M.A. in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University.
While none of the information provided on this site should be substituted for the guidance of a medical professional, it should provide a great jumping off point for your fitness needs.
